What have you learned from your field trip to Ouro Preto?
From our trip to Ouro
Preto, we’ve learned a lot of interesting facts about the Ouro Preto history.
We visited many tourist points from churches to mines.
Ouro Preto is a very old
city that was built in 18th century that has old streets, sidewalks and
mansions. We visited Igreja Nossa
Senhora do Pilar, Igreja São Francisco de Assis, Santa Efigênia, Praça
Tiradentes, Casa dos Contos, two mines and crafting fairs.
During our visit, we stayed
in 2 different hotels, one in an urban area and the other on a rural area, that
was named Caraça.
In Caraça there wasn't any
type of computer, wifi, phone or even signal to contact others outside the
city, so we've learned how to live without technology, besides electricity. In
there we went to a trail on the middle of the woods that ended up in a
beautiful waterfall.
This trip was very
different and unusual from others because we went to places that we never
expected to go. Basically we all had a lot of fun during this trip with our
friends and teachers!
